Privacy and your information

Text you enter
The writing helper and draft forms process text in your browser. The site does not upload that text or save it to local storage. Drafts remain in the current tab until you clear them or leave the page.
Copying puts your text on your device’s clipboard. Downloading saves a text file on your device. Your browser may independently offer to remember form fields.
When you email us
Opening an email draft passes the prepared text to your chosen email application. A message reaches the editorial inbox only when you send it. Your email address and any information you include then become part of the correspondence.
The team uses that correspondence to respond to your request or assess your contribution. Your contact details are not published with an edit, and sending a message does not subscribe you to marketing.
Cookies and external websites
This version has no advertising, analytics tags or embedded social widgets. See our cookie information. Following an external link takes you to a separate website with its own privacy practices.
Questions about your information
For questions about information you have sent to the team, or to request access, correction or deletion, email contact@acronymindex.com.
